Founded by professional makeup artist Kat Zhang, Suburbs Beauty is the product arm of The Suburbs Studio. After years of working across fashion, commercial, bridal, and editorial projects, Kat saw the need for beauty tools that feel effortless yet effective. Our tools are designed not just for professionals but for anyone who wants to achieve a polished look with ease.

Every item is designed through an artist’s lens, tested on real people and real skin, in both studio and on set. These are the same tools trusted by professionals and used daily in our work.

About the Founder

Kat Zhang is the founder of Suburbs Beauty. She is also the founder of The Suburbs Studio, a makeup artistry and creative management company, where she leads a team of skilled hair and makeup artists.

Kat has worked with a range of international stars, including Charlie Puth, Gracie Abrams, Rebecca Armstrong, Diego Luna, Elijah Woods, and Sophie Ellis-Bextor. She was also the makeup artist for Charlie Puth and hairstylist for Gracie Abrams during the Singapore stop of their world tours.
